Guitar great Buddy Guy has been firing up the blues since the '60s, but it's only in the past couple of years that he has finally been getting kind of recognition he deserves.
Since launching his comeback in 1991, Guy has earned Grammy Awards for his three consecutive albums -- ``Damn Right I've Got the Blues,'' ``Feels Like Rain'' and ``Slippin' In.'' And don't be surprised if he makes it four in a row next year when his latest effort, ``Live! The Real Deal,'' is eligible.
You can also hear Guy's masterful fretburning on the brand-new compilation CD and home video, ``A Tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan,'' where he joins the all-star lineup of Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray and others.
As good as his albums have been, Guy really thrives in the spotlight of the concert stage, so don't be surprised if he tears the roof off of the Starlite Music Theatre tonight as he headlines the third annual Starlite …
