NSW: Four more boat people captured

Police have caught another four illegal immigrants who escaped into bushland after their
boat beached on the New South Wales mid-north coast on Saturday.

Searches have been scaled down after police detained a total of 58 boat people, but up to
10 more are believed to remain on the loose.

The 40 metre-long boat with Chinese markings beached at Scotts Head, south of Coffs
Harbour, allowing about 100 illegal immigrants to scramble ashore.

Police say the latest four men to be caught were found at Kempsey, south of Scotts Head,
early this morning.

The other refugees have been sent to Western Australia's Port Hedland detention centre.
